Every year in October, Bayhill High Schools hosts our College & Transition Fair geared toward students with learning differences. About 20 colleges and post-secondary representatives come to Bayhill to speak with families about opportunities for students once they graduate. Some of the colleges include:
Holy Names
Beacon College
Mitchell College
San Francisco State University
California State East Bay
University of Berkeley
Landmark College
Laney College
College of AlamedaOther programs for independent living and college support include:
College Living Experience
Meristem
College Internship Program (CIP)
Bayhill juniors and seniors are required to attend with their families in order to speak with representatives and gather information from programs that interest them. The College & Transition Fair welcomes students from other schools as well. For more information contact our Transition Coordinator Vanessa Brown.
Bayhill has a robust College & Transition program that begins in 9th grade and follows our students post-graduate with additional support. At the heart of the program is fostering self-advocacy in students. The single biggest factor in post-secondary success is the ability to self-advocate.
