Sara has worked in education since 2007. She gained her BSc in Psychology from Goldsmiths University London and her Masters in Education from Greenwich University London. She began her teaching career in a fully-inclusive inner-city  London elementary school. She spent 5 years as a whole-class general education teacher with a specialism in French. In 2012, she moved into small-group intervention for students who were not attaining their potential, while also handling new-teacher training. She also worked for a Somali charity in London for 3 years, working to raise attainment with students from 6 to 18 years old. After moving to the Bay Area, Sara began working at Bayhill, where she now works one-to-one with students as an Educational Therapist and as Bayhill’s Assistive Technology Specialist. She has Certificates in Educational Therapy from University of California Riverside and Assistive Technology from California State University Northridge. She also teaches a whole-class reading class called Read Write Success and a fundamental math class.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, especially with her toddler and showing him things to cook in the kitchen. Her cakes are far more interesting with toddler help.
