2.Bayhill Spring Auction, March 20th: We are looking forward to our Annual Spring Dinner Dance and Auction, Reach for the Stars, on March 20, 2010 in the beautiful Julia Morgan designed Berkeley City Club, www.berkeleycityclub.com.This is our biggest community event of the year to celebrate our school and to raise funds for such things as technology, teacher professional training, scholarships, and more.It will be the best, most fun opportunity we will have to gather with other parents, as well as the teachers, administrators and board members of BayhillHigh School. The event includes a buffet dinner, music and dancing. There will be a no host bar. While this is going on, we will be conducting a silent auction, and a number of other activities, such as an opportunity to win bottles of wine and other prizes. The evening will begin with an auction preview hour at 7:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 8:00 p.m. and music and dancing at 9:00 p.m. We already have manyfabulous items to bid on, including Giants tickets in the Club Mezzanine, a Mad Men cocktail party (sorry, Don Draper is not available), a two hour kitchen design consultation by one of our very own Bayhill parents, certificates from local restaurants and other businesses,as well as theme baskets from each of our classes. But we are not yet done soliciting auction items. To add to the fun, and increase the amount this event can raise for the school, we are still very interested in receiving donations of quality goods and services for auction. The single, most important thing you can do is attend the party, and bring someone interested in your child’s education, or education in general, with you.The more people who attend, the more effective the event will be as a fundraiser. In addition to that, the opportunity to meet the other members of our community in a social setting is not only personally rewarding, but it will add to your understanding of what our school is all about. The ticket price of $35.00, which includes dinner, is set low to encourage a large attendance. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the committee members below:
3. Spring Dance: Hawaiian Luau Dance Saturday, March 6th 8:30pm-11:30pm Students may bring as many guests as they'd like, provided they have a ticket. 4. Parent Association Meeting: The third quarter Parent Association Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. A workshop will be included in this PA meeting on the subject of Special Education Law and the IEP Process. An overview of the special education and legal processes will be provided as well as an opportunity to ask questions about this complicated issue.

Ideally we will have a class size of at least eight students. There are many advantages to participating in this class. Students can expect to: Receive explicit instruction in test taking strategies, review all skill sections, have practical experience with the test, have ample opportunity to apply what has been learned, minimize test anxiety.Mr. DeFalco and Ms. Porcella will be conducting class on Mondays from 3:30-4:30, Saturdays from 9:30 – 12:30, and one Friday from 3:30 – 4:30 here at Bayhill. The cost is $250 plus the price of the SAT Prep book.Checks can be made out to Scott DeFalco. Please email or call Rebecca Field at 268-1500 ext 259 or field@bayhillhs.org with any questions or concerns.
